Nora Fatehi, the renowned actor, appeared before Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Gupta on Monday to provide her testimony in a defamation case she filed against fellow Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and various media organizations.
During the hearing at Patiala House Court, Nora expressed her distress over the damage caused to her reputation in the public eye due to the defamation case. She revealed that she was unjustly labeled as a “gold digger” and falsely linked to con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Nora clarified that she had no involvement with Sukesh or any knowledge of the alleged Rs 200 crore scam he was accused of.
The actor believes that she has been unfairly targeted as an outsider in the industry, making her a vulnerable scapegoat. She emphasized her desire for compensation to rectify the harm caused to her career as a result of these false accusations. Nora also expressed grievance over defamatory remarks made by Jacqueline Fernandez.
Both Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez have been interrogated by different investigation agencies in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar and others.
